This Green Flag accredited Park is situated on a gentle hillside overlooking an ornamental lake. The Friends of Barclay Park group was established in 2011 and this initiated the start of the Heritage Lottery Fund applications which have since seen a lot of investment and work carried out in the park.

The total area of the park is 18.3 acres. Facilities include car parking, picnic tables, a lake (NO FISHING), easy access pathways and childrens play equipment.

Heritage Lottery Fund

Barclay Park has received two grants from the HLF in the past 5 years.
This money was used to stabalise the banks of the lake and the island to stop future erosion.
It was also used to widen paths around the park to allow more space for walkers and runners.
